New Institute of Aikido dojo opens in Silverdale July 30th 2009address: 107 Newman Road, off Spur road, Silverdale / Stillwater.This full-time dojo has taken 9 months to build but now complete is one of the best facilities in the country for Aikido training. With 110sqm of mats, male and female changing, plenty of parking and very good coffee (!) classes start from 30th July and all are welcome. Beginners train free of charge. Institute of Aikido Auckland dojo opensThe new Institute of Aikido Auckland dojo is now open and training on Tuesday & Thursday Nights at the Okura Hall, Okura River Road, Okura (near Torbay) on Auckland's North Shore.
Children classes run from 7-8pm (8-15 yrs) and Adult classes from 8-9.30pm (16+yrs).
The Aikido practiced at the Institute of Aikido Auckland has strong Traditional and Iwama roots and focuses on sound, practical technique and comprehensive use of both Jo and Bokken for development of movement and posture. read more ...
